Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has declared that all schools in the province will be closed until May 11 in reaction to the increasing conflict between India and Pakistan.

Apparently, to the minister, schools will function on May 12, and the closure order must be strictly followed in order to put the welfare of employees and pupils first during this uncertain time.

Residents rushed out of their homes in terror early Thursday morning when three explosions were heard in quick succession, causing panic to spread across Lahore Walton Road and the neighboring suburbs.

AJK Schools Closed Indefintely

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) administration has mandated that all public and private schools in the area be closed indefinitely.

The AJK Elementary and Secondary Education Secretary stated in a notification that the security situation was taken into consideration when making the decision.

The department instructed the management of all public and private schools under its control to halt instruction until further directives.

Additionally, the district administration of Islamabad announced that all educational establishments, whether public or private, within its control would be closing.

Islamabad schools to open on May 10

All educational institutions in the federal capital will be closed for one day, according to sources who spoke to the district administration of Islamabad.

As tensions along the Pakistan-India border escalate, the district administration of Islamabad has decided to close all of the city's educational institutions, according to a notification released here on Wednesday.

Due to security concerns, it said, all educational institutions, both public and private, will be shuttered for one day.
