This policy explains what personal information Moawin.pk collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. Moawin.pk is run by Moawin, Building 13, Block J, Gulberg III, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. You can reach us at contact@moawin.pk or +92 300 1405820.

This policy covers the Moawin.pk website and the Moawin app for Android. The website is run by Moawin; the app is published by Techno Assist on its behalf. The app and the website use the same account and the same data, so what is written here applies to both.

1. What we collect

When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number and password. Passwords are stored in a scrambled form that nobody, including us, can read.

If you are a job seeker (candidate): the details you add to your profile and CV, such as father's name, date of birth, gender, marital status, address and city, education, work experience, languages, skills, projects, current and expected salary, preferred industry and profile photo, and any documents you upload, such as your CV, degrees and certificates.

If you are an employer: your company's details (name, address, industry, email, phone, website, NTN, number of employees and logo), the contact person's name, designation, email and phone, and the job ads you post.

If you represent an institute, organisation or consultancy: the details of your organisation, branches, courses, admissions and services that you publish.

When you use the site:

Job applications you submit, and messages and files exchanged in chat between candidates and employers.
Messages you send through our contact form (name, email, phone, subject and message), and course requests.
If you use "Teach a skill": the details you send (name, phone, email, address, a description and pictures).
Your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter. The newsletter list is held by Mailchimp.
A record of the emails we send you (your address, name, subject and text), such as verification and notification emails.
Technical information that every website receives: your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Our server logs keep this for 14 days, for security and to fix problems.

2. Cookies and similar tools

A session cookie, needed to keep you logged in. The site can't work without it.
Google Analytics, which counts visits and shows us which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It uses cookies and gives us statistics, not your identity.
Google reCAPTCHA, to keep out automated abuse. It loads on our pages, not only on sign-up and login forms, and it receives your IP address and browser information.

Content from other websites. Some pages show content from other companies. When your browser loads it, that company receives your IP address and may set cookies:

Google Maps, on branch, consultancy and contact pages.
YouTube, on pages with videos.
Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which supply the font and a page component on our public pages.

We do not run advertising networks. The banners on the site are our own images. The Moawin app for Android has no analytics, crash reporting or advertising of its own.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you won't be able to log in.

3. How we use your information

To run Moawin.pk: your account, profile, job ads, applications and chat.
To let employers find suitable candidates, and candidates find jobs, courses and institutes.
To send emails you need, such as account verification, password resets and notifications about your applications or messages.
To keep the site safe: preventing fraud, spam and misuse.
To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who can see your information

The public can see job ads, published articles and institute pages, and a limited version of candidate profiles.
Registered, logged-in employers can see a candidate's full profile, including contact details and uploaded documents. That's how employers find and contact suitable candidates. When you apply for a job, that employer receives your profile.
Chat messages and files are visible only to the two people in the conversation, and to Moawin staff when needed for support or to investigate misuse.
Moawin staff who need it for their work.
Service providers that run parts of the site for us, and only for that purpose:
- Leaseweb: our servers, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
- DigitalOcean: file storage and encrypted backups, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
- Brevo: delivery of the emails we send.
- Google: Analytics and reCAPTCHA (see section 2), and the Maps, YouTube and Fonts content shown on some pages.
- Mailchimp: our newsletter. It receives your email address only if you subscribe.
- jsDelivr: delivers a page component (see section 2).
Authorities, when the law requires it.

5. Where your information is kept

Your information is stored on servers in the Netherlands, so it is kept outside Pakistan. It is protected as described below wherever it is stored.

6. How we protect it

Everything travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Personal documents, such as CVs and chat attachments, are stored privately. They are only handed out after the site checks that the person asking is allowed to see them.
Passwords are stored in scrambled form.
Backups are encrypted.
Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it.

No website can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care and fix problems promptly.

7. How long we keep it and how to delete your account

Your account and profile stay for as long as your account exists.

Deleting your account. Sign in at moawin.pk or in the Moawin app, open your account page (Account for candidates and employers, your dashboard for institutes, branch admins and consultants) and choose Delete my account. Step by step instructions are at moawin.pk/account-deletion.

At once: you are signed out and your account is hidden. We send you one email with the deletion date.
After 30 days: the account and its data are permanently deleted.
To cancel: sign in within the 30 days and choose "Restore my account". After the 30 days the account cannot be brought back.
Cannot sign in? Write to contact@moawin.pk from the email address of your account. Once we have confirmed the request comes from you, we delete the account and its data for you, without the 30 days.

What is deleted.

Candidates: your login, profile, CV details (education, experience, languages), uploaded documents, photo, job applications, and your chat messages and chat files.
Employers: your login, company profile and logo, all your job ads, the applications sent to those ads, and your chat messages and chat files.
Consultants: your login, your consultant profile, its services and pictures.
Institutes and branch admins: your login and your own personal details (name, email, phone, photo), and your own contact details where they appear in the institute's listing.
For every account: password-reset records and the log of emails we sent to your address. If the same email address is also used by another Moawin account, these two are not removed with your account: reset records expire after 2 days and the email log after 12 months.

What is kept, and for how long.

An institute's public listing (branches, admission notices, posts) stays on Moawin.pk as directory information and is managed by our staff. Ask us at contact@moawin.pk to change or remove it.
Backups: our encrypted backups are kept for up to 12 months. Deleted data disappears from them as they expire, at the latest 12 months after the deletion. If we ever restore a backup, deletions made since then are applied again before the site reopens.
Messages sent through the contact form, and "Teach a skill" submissions, are not part of an account. They are deleted automatically after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
Newsletter: if you subscribed with your account's email address, that address is deleted from our newsletter list (Mailchimp) together with the account, unless another Moawin account uses the same address. If you subscribed with another address, unsubscribing stops the emails but the address stays with the newsletter provider until you ask us to delete it: write to contact@moawin.pk and name the address.
Server logs (technical records such as IP addresses) are kept for 14 days. A separate security record of password changes made by our staff (who, when, which account number, no password) is kept for 90 days.
A record that a deletion happened: the type of account, an internal number and the dates. It contains no name, email address or other personal detail.
Pictures may remain in the delivery network's temporary copies for a short time after they are deleted.

8. Your choices and rights

See and correct your information at any time in your account dashboard.
Delete parts of your profile from your dashboard at any time (documents, photo, education and experience entries, and for employers, job ads), or delete your whole account yourself: see section 7 and moawin.pk/account-deletion.
Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Unsubscribe from our newsletter with the link in any newsletter email. This stops the emails. To have the address removed from the newsletter list as well, write to contact@moawin.pk and name the address.
Block cookies in your browser.

For any request, write to contact@moawin.pk. We'll answer within 30 days.

9. Children

Moawin.pk is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, please tell us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes, we will also post a notice on the site.
