The Russian government has formally offered a fantastic opportunity for students from Pakistan: fully financed scholarships for the 2026 school year.
This program intends to give talented students access to top-notch higher education at some of Russia's best universities as part of the country's ongoing efforts to improve its educational and cultural ties with Pakistan.
Bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in various fields, such as engineering, medicine, computer science, the natural sciences, economics, business administration, and the humanities, are covered by the scholarship program.
Through this program, Russia hopes to provide academic opportunities to gifted Pakistani youth who want to study overseas and support innovation and growth worldwide.
Scholarship Coverage
This fully financed program totally waives tuition, enabling a limited group of students to attend Russian universities without having to worry about paying for their education. A monthly stipend will also be given to assist with living expenses so that students can concentrate on their academic development. However, students may be responsible for covering their own travel, lodging, and daily costs.
Applicants
Pakistani nationals who wish to study in Russia for higher education are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The academic prerequisites for the desired degree level and field of study must be fulfilled by applicants. In accordance with their previous education, candidates may apply to undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate programs.
How to Apply
Candidates must sign up and apply via the official Russian government's educational website, which is located at https://education-in-Russia.com.
One particular subject of study and up to six universities are available to students. Personal information must be filled out, academic records must be uploaded, and required papers must be submitted, such as:
Copy of passport (valid for at least 18 months from the date of desired travel)
Educational certificates and transcripts
Application and consent forms signed
Research proposals and letters of reference for postgraduate programs
For PhD candidates, published research articles and host university certification are required.
Following submission, the applications are evaluated by the Russian House (Centre for Science and Culture) in Karachi, which serves as Pakistan's official nominating authority, as well as Russian universities.
Selection Criteria
Academic standing, extracurricular accomplishments, and future contribution potential are the main considerations during the selection process. Some specialty schools, like those in the performing arts, architecture, or design, could need applicants to pass extra exams or present creative portfolios.
Following that, shortlisted individuals will go through a fitness and medical evaluation, academic document translation into Russian, and verification.
The deadline
Students have plenty of time to get ready and carefully submit their documents because the application deadline is January 15, 2026. Early application is highly recommended in order to prevent submission issues or delays.
