Pakistan's Higher Education Commission (HEC) has revised the physical education curricula for bachelor's and master's degrees to reflect new demands and trends as well as international norms. Given that the Physical Education curriculum was last created in 2014, this modification is noteworthy.

Representatives from 18 institutions in Pakistan that offer Bachelor of Science and Master of Science programs in Physical Education gathered for a two-day meeting of the National Curriculum Review Committee (NCRC) at the University of Punjab. This demonstrated a common commitment to raising the academic and professional standards of these programs.

Convener Dr. Zafar Iqbal Butt, who chairs the University of the Punjab Lahore's Department of Sports Sciences, was unanimously chosen to lead the meeting. His broad expertise and capable leadership were crucial in improving and modernizing the educational framework.

The significance of developing a creative and progressive curriculum that supports excellence in physical education education and research was emphasized by Director General (Academics) HEC Dr. Amjad Hussain in his remarks during the conference.

According to him, HEC is grateful to all of the institutions and participants for their significant contributions to the evaluation and update.

Graduates will be much more equipped thanks to the recently revised curriculum, allowing them to contribute considerably to the fields of physical education, sports, and health.
