Khan Academy and the Ministry of Federal Education have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to integrate Khanmigo, the latter's AI-powered tutor, for individualized learning in schools, thereby revolutionizing education in Pakistan.
Zeeshan Hassan, the CEO of Khan Academy (Pakistan), and Parliamentary Secretary Farah Naz Akbar attended the signing event.
Established by Sal Khan in 2006, Khan Academy is a trailblazing American nonprofit organization committed to transforming education by providing top-notch, free online learning tools. Its goal is to enable students all around the world with interactive resources so that everyone may access high-quality education.
As part of this deal, Khan Academy will teach Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) teachers how to use the US-based organization's AI-powered educational platform, guaranteeing a smooth transition of technology into the classroom.
Beginning with middle schools in Islamabad, it will implement Khanmigo AI and Khan Academy curriculum in 432 government schools, helping more than 300,000 pupils.
This innovative project is anticipated to give pupils a customized learning experience that meets their specific demands and is poised to revolutionize educational practices.
The government's dedication to using technology and creative solutions to raise educational standards is demonstrated by this cooperation, which supports the ministry's ongoing efforts to improve educational outcomes in Pakistan.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with Khan Academy to offer our students individualized instruction," stated Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary of Education.
This program is in line with our mission to deliver top-notch instruction that equips our students for success in the twenty-first century.
With this Memorandum of Understanding, Pakistan becomes one of the nations using Khan Academy's resources to enhance educational results.
Osman Rashid, the chairman of Khan Academy (Pakistan), responded to the news by saying, "We are excited to collaborate with the Ministry of Federal Education to bring a top-notch education to every student in Pakistan."
We are excited to see the beneficial effects this relationship will have on both teachers and students, as it represents a major turning point in Pakistan's educational history, Rashid continued.
