GC Women University Launches Summer Camp

Summer Camp 2025, a month-long program at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), officially began with the topic "Transforming the Academic Ecosystem with AI and Professional Growth."
Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, gave the occasion its opening remarks.
In charge of the event was GCWUF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.).
Camp was arranged by the Faculty & Staff Development Center.
The practical training was designed to expose teaching and non-teaching personnel (BPS-16 & above) to new trends and personal development techniques in order to improve their professional and administrative skills.
After the inauguration ceremony, there were specialist seminars. Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen led a thought-provoking discussion about time management and stress.
Dr. Saira Saroya from Southern Connecticut State University in the United States gave insightful advice on how to advance your career through international fellowships and scholarships.
Ultimately, the Director of IT Services and his group led a practical training session on AI tools at the Skill Development Center, equipping employees with useful digital skills.
The summer session will run through July 31.
Punjab Announces Schedule for Head Teacher Recruitment Test
The Punjab government has made public the official timetable for hiring head teachers for the province's government institutions.
The announcement states that from July 7 to July 12, online applications will be accepted. The online exam will be administered concurrently throughout Punjab on July 22.
Test results, work experience, and academic credentials will all be taken into consideration while evaluating applicants.
The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on July 25 after the test. On July 28, a final merit list will be created and released based on an assessment of the candidate's academic record, test scores, and interview performance.
On July 30, the chosen applicants will formally get their appointment orders. The Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) will oversee the entire testing procedure.
