The Government of Pakistan’s Planning Commission, under the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Macro-Economic Modeling Advisor. This position is offered under the “Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening” project. The Ministry serves as an apex body providing technical and professional input for formulating and implementing socio-economic plans and policies. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in economic forecasting, policy analysis, and quantitative modeling. The appointment will be made on a contract basis and according to merit.

Job Description

The Macro-Economic Modeling Advisor will support the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives in technical and professional areas related to economic forecasting, quantitative modeling, and policy analysis under the project “Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening of M/o PD&SI”.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert input in macro-economic forecasting and modeling.
• Assist in the formulation and analysis of economic policies.
• Work with national and international departments for effective policy planning.
• Support capacity building efforts within the Planning Commission.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of education with a 2nd Class Master’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 20 years of relevant post-qualification experience in public or private sector, both national and international.
• Maximum age limit: 63 years.
