A Swiss institution has suspended a lecturer who blatantly expressed admiration for the Hamas bombings in Israel that claimed 1,200 lives. The University of Bern deemed the anonymous lecturer's comments on X, formerly known as Twitter, "unacceptable" and, as a result, suspended him.

The two so-called offensive statements have since been removed, but according to AFP-cited accounts, one of them joked that the strikes by Hamas were the nicest birthday present anybody could possibly receive, and the other mocked the fact that they occurred on Saturday, the Jewish day. According to the institution, the lecturer has been suspended "with immediate effect" "after a thorough evaluation of the situation."

The Swiss authorities were also investigating the remarks for potential legal violations. "I have always strongly condemned violence against civilians and attacks on Jews," the disciplined employee stated. In a brief statement to the newspaper, which did not use his name, he continued, "For ideological grounds, I fundamentally detest the policies of Hamas and related groups.

Authorities are taking strong actions and moral policing those who support Palestinians cause.

In another event, Air Canada grounded a pilot earlier this week for donning pro-Palestinian flags over his flight suit. The pilot, Mostafa Ezzo, is accused of making derogatory remarks about Israel on his social media posts following a surprise attack on West Asia by Hamas militants.

You can clearly evidence the blatant violation of your freedom of speech; if you support the Palestinian cause, it must not be acceptable. Israel is heavily persecuting the Palestinian masses and has blocked food, water, and other essentials in this tough time to punish Hamas. The whole world has remained divided over the conflict; the West has openly supported Israel, and some of the Arab nations are supporting Palestine. It's very hypocritical when you support Palestine; the west comes after you, but at the same time they are celebrating Israeli atrocities in Palestine. The dual nature is at its worst.
