The Turkish University Fair 2025 was held on Wednesday by Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges in association with the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF) and the Republic of Türkiye Embassy in Pakistan.
The historic occasion acts as a crucial link for prospects for academic cooperation, cultural exchange, and interaction between Pakistan and Turkey.
Since its third iteration in 2020, the Turkish University Fair has grown to be a renowned gathering place for thousands of Pakistani students, parents, and education lovers.
The event further strengthens the educational and cultural relations between the two friendly countries by inviting famous and esteemed Turkish universities to Islamabad.
Ten prestigious Turkish universities were represented during the event, including METU Northern Cyprus Campus, Bogaziçi University, and Bilkent University.
Attendees were given information on these esteemed institutions' academic programs, research opportunities, exchange programs, scholarships, and reasonably priced tuition by representatives.
In addition to learning about international exchange programs and routes to worldwide academic excellence, attendees had the chance to speak with university representatives face-to-face, investigate special scholarship opportunities and reduced tuition programs, and receive individualized career counseling based on their goals.
The Turkish University Fair 2025 has attracted more than 5,000 students from various institutions, universities, and schools.
Irfan Neziroglu, the Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, was one of the notable dignitaries who attended the opening event as a chief guest.
"We would be delighted to organize a similar fair in Türkiye with the participation of Pakistani universities," the envoy added, outlining his plans for furthering this partnership. These forums for discussion and interaction can work together to help the young people of the two friendly nations create a connected future.
Türkiye has established itself as a major global center for education, with 340,000 international students presently registered in its higher education institutions from 198 different countries.
As of 2025, more than 5,000 Pakistani students are already attending Turkiye to pursue their academic goals, taking advantage of its top-notch universities, reasonably priced tuition, and active campus community. With an average enrollment rate of 4.76 percent, Türkiye is one of the top 10 most popular locations for international students.
The Turkish Maarif Foundation is still dedicated to giving Pakistani students access to top-notch education in a variety of subjects, including business, engineering, medicine, and the arts. In addition to fostering students' academic development, the Foundation upholds the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Turkey through initiatives like the Turkish University Fair. The event this year represents yet another turning point in the two countries' cooperative endeavors.
