The Federal Education Ministry of Pakistan is about to embark on a large-scale initiative to provide students with cutting-edge knowledge of emerging technology.

The "Emerging Technology Centres" programme would be introduced at 350 schools located in the provinces of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Islamabad.

The government's strategic aim to make Pakistan a global IT hub includes the tech centres project. The centres aim to introduce young pupils to digital tools and skills that are crucial for their future jobs by incorporating advanced technologies like virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI), and data analytics into the school curriculum.

An official from the Ministry of Federal Education stated that the creation of these tech centres is a significant step in educating our kids for the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.

Their goal is to increase Pakistan's IT sector's exports and capabilities while also preparing students for a digital future through the development of IT skills and abilities.

The centres will include cutting-edge resources and facilities to give students practical experience with data analytics, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. In addition, the project seeks to create a pool of highly qualified workers who can support the expansion of the national economy, thereby addressing the existing skill gaps in the IT sector.

These centres will also equip students to succeed in the quickly changing digital environment they will encounter in the future.

The Ministry said that the centres are an important component of the government's strategy to increase Pakistan's IT exports and skills.

By exposing students to state-of-the-art technologies, the centres will improve their abilities and get them ready for a digital future. They will be split up into two sites, and 175 highly skilled tech fellows will be working on the project.

The objective is to transform Pakistan's IT environment and open doors for the youth of the country to have better futures.
