Finland Moves Visa Center for Pakistani Students to Qatar

The Finnish government has made the process of applying for a residency permit easier for Pakistani students by establishing a temporary biometric identification center in Doha, Qatar.
Through this unique agreement, students can complete the required identification procedures in Doha from July 9 to August 6, 2025, rather than in Abu Dhabi.
After a number of Pakistani candidates encountered difficulties booking appointments and entering the UAE under the present entry regulations, the action was taken. Students already on the waiting list for VFS Global Abu Dhabi have been immediately transferred to VFS Doha, and they will get direct notification, the Finnish Embassy said.
The restricted capacity of VFS Doha means that appointments are non-transferable and cannot be rescheduled. The Abu Dhabi center will require those who miss their allotted time to make a new reservation.
Residence permit cards will still be sent to the Finnish Embassy in Abu Dhabi, even though biometrics will be processed in Qatar. Upon the availability of their permits, students will be notified and given delivery choices.
For a smooth processing experience, applicants must pay the residency permit cost online before their appointment at the Doha facility.
Finland is temporarily changing its visa requirements in an effort to minimize delays brought on by regional travel restrictions for Pakistani students who intend to continue higher education in the nation.
