The CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, which intends to give 110,000 top-notch students access to the newest models of laptops, has formally opened registration.

2,000 laptops are also set aside for minority pupils as part of the plan. Participants in the program must have finished their intermediate or matriculation coursework.

When the laptop program was announced, Punjab's chief minister promised to provide the newest models of computers to 110,000 pupils, according to provincial minister for education Rana Sikandar Hayat.

BS students enrolled in public sector schools during the first and second semesters are eligible for the program.

Students will receive Generation 13 Core i7 laptops, according to the education minister. All material is on the Punjab Higher Education Department's website, and the official URL for online applications has been promoted.

According to Rana Sikandar Hayat, more than 34,000 pupils had already registered within a few hours of the portal's launch.

Eligibility Criteria and Distribution Details:

The program intends to provide 110,000 students in a variety of academic sectors with the newest models of laptops, including Core i7 models. Both secondary and upper secondary BS students are eligible to participate in this program. Minority students will also receive 2,000 laptops.

Laptop Distribution Breakdown:

  • 20,000 college students
  • 14,000 university students
  • 4,000 students in technical and agriculture colleges
  • 2,000 students studying medicine and dentistry
  • South Punjab will account for 32% of the awardees.

Required Qualifications

  • The candidate must be enrolled in any public university or college's first or second semester of a bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 65% in intermediate is needed to enroll in public institutions and colleges.
  • A minimum of 80% in intermediate is required for admission to medical and dental schools.
  • Students must reside in one of Punjab's districts and cannot have previously obtained a laptop through any government program.
