The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad has announced an extension in the admission timetable for the Matric Annual Examinations 2026 in an effort to assist students and educational institutions.

The board said that schools have till December 10 to submit regular matriculation entrance forms. Institutions that were having difficulty meeting the earlier deadline are anticipated to feel less pressure as a result of the postponement.

The board has offered two extra periods for people who are unable to apply by the standard deadline. The deadline for submitting admission forms is December 23 at a double charge. After that, there will be a final chance until January 6 at a treble fee.

The Matriculation Annual Examinations 2026 are set to begin on March 3, 2026, according to the board.

Officials expressed optimism that the updated timetable would guarantee optimal student engagement and seamless exam preparation.

University celebrates Global Antimicrobial Awareness Week

Malakand University celebrated World Antimicrobial Awareness Week with an awareness walk and poster competition.

The event, titled “Act Now, Protect Our Present, Safeguard Our Future”, aimed to highlight the dangers of antimicrobial resistance and promote responsible antibiotic use.

Participants, including students and faculty, held banners emphasising the importance of addressing this global health issue.

The winners of the poster competition were awarded prizes. Professor Dr Rashid Ahmed called for joint efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance.
