The Matric Annual Examination results for 2025 have been formally released by the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

On Tuesday, Muhammad Ishaq, the board's chairman, formally announced the decision.

Balochistan Residential College student Aftab Alam got the top spot with a remarkable 1,051 points. Second place went to Muhammad Hashir with 1,043 points, and third place went to Muhammad Tufail and Saqib Ali together with 1,038 points apiece.

According to Chairman Muhammad Ishaq, 100,870 candidates passed the Matric Annual Examination out of 148,114 pupils who took it. Of those who took the test, 68.10% passed overall.

As a related event, the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) had announced that the Sindh matric and inter certificate verification process had been moved online.

As per the new guideline, certificates submitted for verification in sealed envelopes will no longer be accepted.

Instead, an online system will be the only way to perform verification.

The IBCC has mandated that all Sindh educational boards connect to its platform in order to provide easy verification.

Presently, the Ziauddin Board, Sukkur Education Board, and Karachi Matric Board are putting the system into use.

The remaining Sindh boards have been asked to digitize and upload their academic records as soon as possible so that they can be included in the online verification process.
