Business Development Specialist (Upwork)

Job Description:

We're searching for a skilled Upwork Bidding Specialist to join our team and play a crucial role in driving new business through the Upwork platform. This is not just a lead generation role – we need a closer who can identify great opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and convert them into paying clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively source and identify potential projects on the Upwork platform that align with our company's expertise and services.
  • Analyze project requirements and client needs to develop targeted and compelling proposals that effectively showcase our value proposition.
  • Craft persuasive proposals that highlight our skills, experience, and successful track record, tailored to the specific project requirements.
  • Negotiate rates and project scope to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for both our company and the client.
  • Manage the entire Upwork bidding process, from initial outreach to final proposal submission, ensuring timely and professional communication with clients.
  • Optimize and maintain our Upwork profile to enhance visibility and attract ideal clients.
  • Monitor and analyze bidding performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and refine bidding strategies for success.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, or Communications is preferred to provide a solid foundation in proposal writing and business communication.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Upwork bidding and proposal writing, with a proven track record of securing high-value projects.
  • Strong understanding of Upwork's best practices and bidding strategies to effectively navigate the platform and maximize opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor proposals to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Upwork functionalities to streamline the bidding process and manage client relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and close deals, demonstrating strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
