Job Description:

Shape Solutions is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer & Technical Lead to spearhead backend development efforts, particularly on Symfony/Sylius-based eCommerce platforms. This role demands a mix of strong technical capabilities, DevOps knowledge, and leadership qualities. The successful candidate will lead architectural decisions, ensure reliable delivery, and foster high team performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead backend development on large Symfony/Sylius eCommerce projects
• Architect, design, and build secure, scalable systems using PHP, Symfony, and Sylius
• Manage project timelines, team tasks, and maintain high code quality
• Oversee infrastructure management as the DevOps lead (or collaborate with DevOps)
• Set up CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and automated deployments
• Troubleshoot complex backend issues and ensure system reliability

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in PHP with strong command over Symfony and Laravel
• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with Sylius or Symfony-based eCommerce platforms
• Proficiency in Linux, Nginx, MySQL, Redis, message queues, etc.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, deployment automation, and infrastructure reliability
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Strong expertise in web application security and modern development practices
