Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Head of Technology to lead and scale our IT operations. This full-time, in-person role requires hands-on expertise in web and mobile development, backend systems, and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will define and implement the technical vision, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure robust system performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT departments including web/app developers, designers, marketers, and support staff
• Define the technical vision, roadmap, and execution strategies
• Oversee development and maintenance of the company’s website (Node.js), mobile app (React Native), and accounting software (Python)
• Ensure security, performance, scalability, and reliability of all platforms
• Mentor cross-functional teams and enforce coding best practices
• Align technology goals with business objectives through strategic planning
• Evaluate and manage third-party vendors, cloud services, and software tools
• Establish QA standards and implement data security/compliance protocols
• Coordinate closely with UI/UX, marketing, and support for seamless tech operations
• Communicate technology strategies to senior management and stakeholders

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a senior tech leadership role (e.g., CTO, Lead Engineer)
• Strong expertise in:
• Web development (Node.js, Express, MongoDB/MySQL)
• Mobile app development (React Native, Android/iOS standards)
• Backend & scripting (Python, Django/Flask)
• Solid knowledge of:
• DevOps, API integrations, cloud computing
• System/network security and database management
• UI/UX and agile development methodologies
