Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Head Mechanic to assemble, maintain, and repair machinery and vehicles. The ideal candidate will ensure the functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems through precision work and adherence to safety standards. The role demands manual dexterity, attention to detail, and expertise in handling various tools and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble machines or mechanical components as per requirements.
• Inspect vehicles, machines, engines, and transmissions; conduct diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
• Perform repairs with a focus on reliability and longevity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reported problems efficiently.
• Conduct maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of machinery components.
• Replenish fluids and replace components for engines and machinery.
• Advise users on proper maintenance and preventative measures.
• Handle additional tasks such as repairing hydraulic systems and diagnosing electronic faults.
• Maintain logs of work performed and report issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a mechanic.
• Extensive knowledge of machinery, hydraulics, electrical systems, and their components.
• Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers) and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers).
• Ability to follow instructions, read blueprints, and adhere to established procedures.
• Strong commitment to health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical strength and stamina.
• High school diploma preferred; certification from a vocational school or completed apprenticeship is a plus.
