Job Description:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the Engineering Development Board (EDB) to strengthen the manufacturing sector in Pakistan through strategic planning, policy formulation, and technical support. The CEO will provide visionary leadership, identify emerging trends, and address challenges to achieve organizational goals aligned with the mission of the EDB.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership to the EDB, including the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives.
• Stakeholder engagement and advocacy for policies and initiatives to enhance the industrialization process in the country.
• Oversee and guide the development of industrial standards, regulations, and policies.
• Facilitate adoption of advanced technologies in the industry for competitiveness, safety, and innovation.
• Support GOP policymaking related to manufacturing and economic development.
• Oversee the management and operations of EDB, including resource allocation, staffing, and financial and human resource planning.
• Build capacity within the organization and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Represent the EDB at national and international forums, enhancing its reputation and contribution to Pakistan’s industrial growth.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in engineering, business administration, public policy, industrial economics, or other relevant disciplines is highly desirable.
• For Bachelor’s degree holders: Minimum of 15 years of experience in relevant fields like manufacturing, industrial or economic development, formulation and implementation of industrial development strategies, or senior leadership in a reputed organization.
• For Master’s or higher degree holders: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Chemical, or other engineering fields recognized by HEC.
