Job Description

The Engineering Development Board (EDB) is tasked with strengthening manufacturing and industrial development in Pakistan. The CEO will lead the organization by developing and implementing strategies that align with its mission, promoting industrial innovation, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and overseeing operations and policy development to enhance Pakistan's industrial landscape.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for EDB in developing and implementing comprehensive strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
• Engage stakeholders to promote industrial innovation, research, and development, fostering partnerships among the government, industry, and academia.
• Oversee the adoption of new technologies, industry trends, and climate change impacts in industrial development.
• Develop policies to attract investment and foster innovation in manufacturing, aligning with global industrial best practices.
• Support the government in formulating and implementing policies for industrial competitiveness.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of EDB, including budget oversight and staff performance improvement.
• Build a culture of innovation and excellence within EDB while fostering partnerships for best practices.

Requirements

• Citizenship: Applicants must be Pakistani citizens with valid CNIC.

• Age: Minimum 45 years at the time of application.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, or chemical engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
• A Master’s or Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, industrial economics, business administration, or industrial management is preferred.

Experience:

• With a Master’s degree: 15 years of relevant experience in industrial development, policy formulation, or manufacturing, including 5 years in senior leadership.
• With a Ph.D.: 10 years of experience in the above fields, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
