Job Description:

Al Rakan Construction is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior MEP Engineer to join our team in Lahore. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of MEP design and drafting standards in Dubai and be capable of leading a team of draftsmen while actively participating in the drafting process.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of MEP draftsmen, overseeing the preparation of detailed shop and coordination drawings.
• Perform MEP design and drafting tasks for various projects, ensuring compliance with DEWA and Dubai Municipality standards.
• Carry out load calculations, equipment sizing, and other technical assessments for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as per Dubai’s local regulations.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design accuracy and functionality.
• Review project specifications, technical submissions, and materials to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure all designs and documentation meet Dubai’s regulatory requirements, including DEWA, DCD, and DM standards.
• Participate in site visits and inspections when required, to ensure project designs are implemented correctly.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP design and drafting, with proven knowledge of Dubai standards (DEWA, DM, DCD).
• Proficient in MEP calculations, system design, and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide a team of draftsmen.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work closely with other engineering teams and stakeholders.
