The Senior PostgreSQL Developer will lead the migration of MS SQL Server databases to PostgreSQL, optimizing performance, designing efficient database structures, and ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the migration of databases from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL
Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing
Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, tables, and stored procedures
Perform database maintenance, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues
Mentor junior developers and implement best practices
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory
Requirements:
Proven expertise in both MS SQL and PostgreSQL
Advanced knowledge of database migration tools, performance tuning, and security
Familiarity with high-availability setups and replication techniques
