Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cost Specialist in the restaurant industry. As a Cost Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and controlling costs to ensure maximum profitability for our restaurant. You will work closely with management and accounting teams to develop and implement efficient cost control strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and monitor all costs associated with running a restaurant, including food and beverage costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive cost control system to ensure accurate tracking of all costs.
• Identify areas of potential cost savings and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Collaborate with purchasing and procurement departments to negotiate favorable pricing with suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory and stock levels to ensure accuracy and minimize waste.
• Generate reports and present findings to management, highlighting areas of concern and proposing solutions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures related to cost control.

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in cost analysis or financial analysis, preferably in the restaurant industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
