Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is a world-class research university located in Lahore, Pakistan. It was established in 1985 with the aim of providing quality education to the students of Pakistan. Since then, LUMS has evolved into one of the top universities in the country, offering undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate programs in various fields of study.

LUMS was founded in 1985 by a group of businessmen and industrialists, including Syed Babar Ali, who wanted to establish a world-class institution of higher education in Pakistan. The university started with only one program, the MBA, and a small campus in Lahore. Over the years, LUMS has grown into a major academic institution with a large and diverse student body, a wide range of academic programs, and state-of-the-art facilities.

LUMS is accredited by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). LUMS is consistently ranked among the top universities in Pakistan and South Asia. According to the QS World University Rankings 2022, LUMS is ranked #355 in the world and #1 in Pakistan. Additionally, LUMS is ranked 79th in Asia and 5th in South Asia.
