Sindh pink games 2025 starts in Matiari with grand opening

Young women and girls in the Matiari district of interior Sindh finally had a chance to showcase their athletic prowess.

The all-female Sindh Pink Games 2025 opened colorfully on Wednesday in Matiari. The shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai is located in this Sufi-heavy region. At the Jhule Lal Govt Degree College in Odero Lal, the competitions were solemnly opened by local Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Yousif Shaikh.

The ceremony was led by Sports Officer Matiari Jaleel Ahmed Halepoto, and special guests Apa Sarwat, Director of Physical Education, and Professor Noor Muhammad Sahito were present.

Muhammad Ali Shah Jamot Government Girls Degree College outperformed Jhule Lal College to win the badminton championship with a fantastic performance.

According to Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Yousif Shaikh, the Sindh Pink Games gave women a chance to develop and hone their abilities, which was a significant step. He underlined that participation in sports not only improved women's physical and mental well-being but also increased their self-confidence. He promised that in order to provide female athletes additional opportunity, such activities would continue in Matiari.

A number of athletes conveyed their happiness, saying that these pursuits allow girls to progress, and they urged the government to hold more events of this nature in the future to help female athletes develop even more.
