Saudi's higher education gaining global prominence

King Abdulaziz University president Taaref bin Yusuf Al-Aama stated that Saudi higher education is becoming more well-known globally.
He claimed that higher education in the kingdom was going through a qualitative renaissance and was becoming more well-known in the academic world.
The kingdom's astute leadership and the Ministry of Education's strategic vision, which aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, are credited with this success.
King Abdulaziz University and other Saudi universities have made major achievements in research, education, and innovation, Al-Aama told the Saudi Press Agency when the university was attending the NAFSA 2025 International Teaching Expo in San Diego, California.
He also emphasized accomplishments in patents and groundbreaking research. According to him, this contributes to the development of a strong knowledge economy. The expo aims to promote the university's advanced academic programs and facilitate knowledge sharing with foreign universities, Al-Aama continued.
Study programs offered by the kingdom's higher education institutions now meet the highest international standards, he said.
King Abdulaziz University at NAFSA 2025
The Association of International Educators’ Annual Conference and Expo is being held in San Diego, and King Abdulaziz University is participating.
It is one of 12 universities in a delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Education.
Over 8,000 educators from more than 100 nations have assembled for the event, which runs through Friday.
KAU is highlighting its research accomplishments, academic programs, and international collaboration efforts, emphasizing talent attraction, innovation, and collaborative academic endeavors.
Additionally, the institution is promoting the Study in Saudi Arabia platform, which seeks to make the Kingdom a popular choice for overseas students.
Under Vision 2030, the kingdom's higher education system is going through a transformative phase, aided by strong leadership and strategic planning, according to Tareef Al-Aama, president of KAU.
KAU's dedication to academic achievement, worldwide involvement, and growing international relationships was also underlined by him.
