Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif will give away free computers to Karachi students at a ceremony held at the Quaid-e-Azam's tomb, according to a federal announcement.

Raja Ansari, a spokesman for the Federal Government, said on Tuesday that PM Shehbaz Sharif will visit Karachi in December to inaugurate a massive project.

The event will feature a ceremony for the distribution of free laptops at the tomb of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.

He underlined that the federal government is dedicated to offering amenities to Karachi's citizens and hopes to finish projects in partnership with the Sindh government.

The effort is a part of 22 significant development initiatives for Karachi, totaling Rs334 billion in investment, Ansari added.

In collaboration with the Sindh provincial government, the projects are being developed with the goal of enhancing the city's public services and infrastructure.

Additionally, he praised Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, calling him a "good person" and acknowledging his role.Even though Sindh is underrepresented, the federal government is still starting development initiatives.

He went on to say that the administration is still more concerned with cooperation than conflict, even though Sindh has little federal representation."This is not about criticizing Jamaat-e-Islami or making political points," he stated."The goal is to improve Karachi by working together."

Thousands of college and university students nationwide now have the opportunity to get free computers thanks to the revival of the PM Laptop Scheme 2025.

The government claims that the program is designed to make sure that financial strain does not prevent students from continuing their online coursework, research, or even working from home as freelancers because purchasing a laptop is still out of reach for many families.

The question of whether their name is on the list has been a major source of anxiety for applicants. In order to solve this, the government has recently put in place a straightforward online system that allows students to use only their CNIC number to monitor the progress of their PM Laptop Scheme 2025 application.

The official PM Youth Program website (laptop.pmyp.gov.pk) allows students to input their CNIC, choose their university from a drop-down menu, and see immediately if their case has been accepted, denied, or is still being reviewed.
