Job Description:

The Sugarcane Research and Development Board is seeking a dynamic and agile Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic and operational direction for research and development activities in the sugarcane sector of Punjab, Pakistan. The role involves leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with stakeholders to modernize the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Provide responsible leadership for high-quality research, development, and extension activities to enhance the sustainability of the sugarcane sector in Punjab.
• Develop image creation and reputation-building strategies, including national and international partnerships and joint ventures.
• Ensure programmatic excellence, rigorous financial oversight, and the effectiveness of business and research activities.
• Establish transparent and trusting relationships with board members and government-related bodies to support governance responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of specialized professional experience in Sugarcane Research & Development.
• A Master’s degree (M.Sc. Hons) in Agriculture is required. A higher qualification (Ph.D.) in an agriculture-related subject is preferred.
• Registration with a recognized professional and international sugarcane research body is an advantage.
• Proven track record of scientific achievements and experience in international research organizations is preferred.
• Knowledge of precision agriculture and IT applications in sugarcane research will be an added advantage.
• Age limit: 40 to 65 years (as of the last date of application submission).
