Attock has become the first city in Pakistan to be certified in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through the globally recognized organization STEMp21.

With the help of the internationally renowned organization STEMp21, Attock became the first district in Pakistan to have public school teachers certified in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.

Rao Atif Raza, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Attock, is spearheading this significant endeavor as part of his plan to transform the district's educational system.

A leading authority on STEM education and holding a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Dr. Mizan-ur-Rehman is leading the certification program.

In order to better prepare students for the opportunities and challenges of the twenty-first century, the main objective of this program is to provide educators with the most up-to-date information and abilities in STEM teaching.

The government has set up over 150 cutting-edge STEM labs in public schools under the direction of DC Attock, who wants to turn the district into an IT hotspot.

In order to prepare students for the digital future, these labs will give them practical experience in robots, artificial intelligence, and programming.

STEMp21 is also helping the program by giving schools robotics kits, which let students participate in creative and useful learning activities.

Speaking about the initiative, DC Attock Rao Atif Raza stated:

Our objective is to transform Attock into a cutting-edge IT center where our students acquire skills that will be useful in the future. We are setting the stage for a generation that will guide Pakistan into the digital era by implementing STEM education and granting access to state-of-the-art technology.

This accreditation demonstrates our dedication to raising educational standards and welcoming innovation.

The project's supervisor, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Attock, Anza Abbasi, reiterated her commitment to carrying out the DC's vision:

We are totally dedicated to achieving DC Rao Atif Raza's goal of establishing Attock into a premier IT and educational hub. This certification program for STEM is only the first step. We will keep putting in endless effort to make sure that every child in Attock gets access to a top-notch education and cutting-edge technology, readying them for a future driven by technology.

This project is expected to have a significant impact on the region's economy and technological achievements, not only on Attock pupils but also on the larger community. Under DC Rao Atif Raza's direction, Attock is transforming itself into a model district for Pakistan by pursuing innovation and excellence in education.
