Beginning on September 1st, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will accept applications for its B.Ed. programs, which include 1.5-year, 2.5-year, and 4-year B.Ed. programs.
AIOU will also offer a range of other programs in the second part of the Fall 2024 semester, including postgraduate diplomas, associate degree programs (BA/B. Com.), and BS (ODL) programs.
Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood, the Vice Chancellor of AIOU, highlighted the successes of the Faculty of Education's teacher preparation programs. He said that millions of teachers have been trained by these programs, and alumni are now employed by colleges and universities around the country.
"Our talented educators are making a significant impact in schools, colleges, and universities nationwide," stated Dr. Mahmood.
B.Ed 1.5 Years
AIOU's B.Ed. 1.5-year curriculum consists of three semesters and lasts roughly 1.5 years. Admission to the 1.5 B.Ed. program is limited to graduates; undergraduates are not eligible.
The 1.5 B.Ed program requires you to submit assignments, attend online and physical workshops, have physical assessments, and develop a thesis and study plan. AIOU B.Ed. assignments are allowed in PDF format.
B.Ed 2.5 Years
In the 2.5 B.Ed program, all students must complete papers, attend workshops (both online and in person), take physical exams, and prepare thesis and study plans. AIOU B.Ed. assignments must be written in PDF format.
B.Ed 4 Years
AIOU's B.Ed. 4-year curriculum consists of eight semesters and lasts about four years. Students who have passed Inter (FA/F.Sc.) can enroll in a four-year B.Ed. degree. In general, fewer students are admitted to the four-year B.Ed. program because the bulk of candidates combine bachelor's studies with their profession.
In the four-year B.Ed. program, all students must complete assignments, attend workshops (both online and in person), take physical exams, and prepare thesis and study plans. AIOU B.Ed. assignments must be written in PDF format. All other needs are nearly identical across all sorts of programs.
The first wave of admissions for the Fall 2024 semester is now underway. The deadline for applications to the Matric, FA, and I.Com programs is September 5th, while applications to the BS (face-to-face), MS, MPhil, and PhD programs are due on August 20.
For further information on admissions, please visit the university's website or contact one of its regional offices throughout the country.
