Pakistani test takers preparing for the world's most popular English language test, IELTS, can now use a new feature to hit their worldwide learning and professional goals.
If they didn't score well on the first try, "IELTS One Skill Retake" allows test takers to repeat one of the four skills (listening, reading, writing, or speaking) at authorized IELTS test centers in Pakistan.
UK Visas and Immigration, the Australian Department of Home Affairs, the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, and other universities and organizations are accepting "IELTS One Skill Retake" each month.
Imad Chaoui, Regional Director, MEA, EU and CIS, said the "IELTS One Skill Retake" gives test takers another chance to study and migrate.
"Taking test taker preferences to heart, IELTS has introduced a convenient option. Candidates can now focus on improving specific skills, instead of retaking the whole test, if their initial score in a particular area doesn't meet their goals." stated Mr. Humayun Bin Akram, Country Director, Pakistan.
IELTS One Skill Retake for Academics and General IELTS gives Pakistani test takers more freedom to plan. It is available in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, and Gujrat and will be expanded in the coming months, Mr. Humayun Bin Akram added. An "IELTS One Skill Retake" gives test takers a second Test Report Form (TRF) with their revised score for migration and studies. Test takers can use their old or new TRF for the skill they retook, depending on their score.
Candidates should notice that the IELTS "IELTS One Skill Retake" is still gaining popularity for migration and studies. Test takers can check the official website for updates on "IELTS One Skill Retake" acceptance by nations and organizations.
Warwick Freeland, Managing Director, IELTS, IDP Education, said this new option shows IELTS' commitment to helping students get their top scores and helping employers find the right individuals.
"IELTS One Skill Retake enhances equity by permitting examinees to retake a single task in the event that they believe their initial performance did not accurately represent their degree of language proficiency," he explained.
He said, "We are proud of this initiative that demonstrates our dedication to assisting test takers in realizing their full potential."
IELTS One Skill Retake is accessible at specific test centers in Pakistan, Australia, Cambodia, Canada, India, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
