Writing your CV is an overwhelming and hectic task. That is because you are supposed to craft a good CV and leave a good impression on the minds of people. Various individuals don’t even know that some words are not good to be used in a CV. Here we have talked about those words.
Motivated
It is important that you don’t use the word ‘motivation’ in your CV. What motivates you? This can be asked by the human resource manager. So, the best idea is that you stay away from using this word. You should not write I am a motivated person because it will not leave a good impression on their minds. However, you can stay motivated yourself but there is no need to let them know about your learning horizons and competencies.
Creative
Words like ‘creative’ and ‘innovative’ are outdated and should not be used when you describe yourself in your CV. Instead, you should look for alternatives and more professional words. It is obvious that everyone is creative in one way or the other. The better option is that you don’t let others know through your CV and instead prove your skills and work hard to be creative in the workplace.
Results-Driven
Those who claim that they are result-driven or result-oriented are mostly good for nothing. It makes no sense to use these words in your CV. You should accomplish your tasks within the deadlines and prove that you are result-oriented through your hard work and dedication.
Extensive Experience
It is another word that you should not use in your CV. Saying that you have a lot of experience would not make you a better fit for the position you are applying for. Instead, you should prove yourself to be the best suited with your confidence on the internet. Adding such words to your CV would not leave a positive impression, so there is no need to use them.
