It’s a must to prepare yourself greatly for a job interview if you want to impress the hiring manager in no time. Sometimes people forget to bring important things to the interview. Besides researching the firm, selecting a perfect outfit, practicing the common questions, and getting the entire thing down to an art, you should bring the following items to an interview.
Your CV
It’s the first and most important thing you should bring during your job interview. Even when you had submitted your interview-winning CV, you should still bring two to three hard copies and one soft copy so that you don’t have to face any problems in the future. The chances are that the recruiter will forget to print the CV, and bringing a few copies handy can help you solve the problem.
Portfolio
Depending on the job you applied for, you may be asked to bring a few samples or a portfolio to prove your skills. For example, if you have applied for the position of web designer or content writer, you would have to bring with you a few website designs and content copies on a USB drive. If your work cannot be brought in a USB drive, you are free to bring a few hard copies or can showcase your work using your own laptop or computer device.
References
Who has referred you to this company? There are chances that the recruiting manager will ask you this question, so you should be ready to answer him properly. For this, you should not forget to bring the list of references and their contact details so that the employer can verify everything properly. Plan ahead and ask the boss, supervisor, co-worker, client or another person about this company and how to get hired easily. If you don’t have experience, then your chances of getting hired are slim until you don’t have some experience.
