An electric high-speed train that would simplify the 804-kilometer travel between Toronto and Montreal has been proposed by a start-up business in Canada. Transpod, a Toronto-based business, claims that its vacuum train, modeled after the Hyperloop, will enable passengers to travel at up to 1,000 km/h. The fuel for these flux jet trains will be plasma.

The train may operate at the speed of a commercial aircraft in this manner. According to the firm, it has the necessary technology to complete the project before 2035. The unique aspect of the TransPod system, according to its creator, Ryan Janzen, is that it is built either like a train or like an airplane.

The flux jet vehicle is an unwinged airplane that is intended to "fly" at great speeds. Its compartments are marginally narrower than those of a train car, and each carriage is significantly smaller than a standard rail car. It can transport 54 passengers or 10 tons of freight between locations.

Transpod claims that even with the low passenger count, the company will launch numerous cars simultaneously to address this issue. The business claims that traveling using the Hyperloop will save 44 percent of the cost of flying while cutting annual carbon dioxide emissions by 636,000 tons.

Approximately 54 passengers and 10 tons of cargo may be transported by trains that would depart every two minutes under this concept. 45 minutes would be needed to travel the 175 miles between the two cities, according to the corporation.

Building on the intercity FluxJet line is expected to start by 2027, according to the business. TransPod also estimates that the project will ultimately cost $18 billion, meaning that further investment, whether from the government, private sector, or both, will be required between now and then.
