The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has revealed a thorough list of unlawful and fraudulent educational institutions operating in Pakistan as part of a huge effort to protect the quality and authenticity of higher education in that nation.
A startling 95 educational institutions in Punjab have been labelled as unlawful and phoney universities and colleges, according to data that the HEC just disclosed.
Now let's look at Sindh. The HEC has branded 34 colleges and universities in the region as fraudulent and unlawful.
Eleven educational institutes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also been the focus of intense HEC investigations.
Three educational institutions in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have been found to be fraudulent.
This educational malfeasance has affected even the federal capital, Islamabad. Islamabad Law College and Hurnkadah College of Visual Arts and Performing Arts are two of the city's colleges that have been declared to be bogus and illegitimate.
HEC's exhaustive list
95 educational institutions in Punjab have been classified as illegitimate and fraudulent universities and colleges, according to recently disclosed HEC data.
The HEC has deemed 34 institutions and universities in Sindh to be unreliable and illegitimate. The HEC has also examined 11 educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Three educational institutes in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have been shown to be fakes in the meantime.
Even in the federal capital of Islamabad, there have been cases of educational fraud. Islamabad Law College and Hurnkadah College of Visual Arts and Performing Arts are two city institutions that have been identified as being fake and illegitimate.
