To improve access to education in the province's more rural areas, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, has given her approval for the start of creative "school on wheels" and mobile library initiatives.

She made clear in her directive to the relevant authorities that the mobile schools will provide education in an electric rickshaw with solar panels, reaching children in remote locations.

A "library on wheels" project that will deliver books to kids in different locations was also approved by the chief minister.

To promote reading outside of the required curriculum, the mobile library will be set up in public areas, decorated with vibrant cartoons, and housed in minivans.

Children will also have access to reading resources through a mobile library that is set up in a contemporary bus, replete with tables and chairs for cozy reading.

The goal of these initiatives is to promote literacy and education in Punjab's underprivileged areas.

Sindh Launches Second Phase of People’s IT Program

The second phase of the People's IT Program was started by the Sindh government with the goal of giving young people the contemporary digital skills they need to prosper in the technologically advanced world of today.

Phase II of the People's IT Programme (PITP), supported by a sizeable cash allocation of Rs 1.4 billion, was announced by Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.

He said the program, which aims to introduce Sindh's youth to the global digital economy, has emerged as the province's premier digital training model.

13,565 students were effectively trained in advanced IT subjects throughout the program's initial phase. Three hundred of the best-performing pupils were given laptops and Google Chromebooks as a reward for their achievements.

In order to increase its impact, the second phase will train 35,000 students in 12 in-demand digital technologies, thereby creating a workforce with the necessary skills to support Sindh's digital transformation.

The government's record investment in higher education, Memon underlined, demonstrates its commitment to equipping young people with cutting-edge skills and preparing them for success in the workplace.
