To modernise the oversight of medical and dental schools, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has finished preparing for a statewide Digital Inspector Training Program.
Officials claim the measure will bring big improvements to inspection quality and openness across the country.
A significant meeting was held at the PMDC headquarters in Islamabad, where planning and technical needs for the national training slated from December 9 to 11, 2025, were finalised.
The event was conducted by the PM&DC President and attended by 12 master trainers from different regions.
The training modules, digital inspection procedure, equipment handling, supplies, and assessment tools were all examined by the participants.
The leadership emphasised that the objective is to get inspectors ready for an entirely computerised, standardised, and transparent inspection system that complies with international best practices.
The meeting agreed detailed protocols, an inspector’s guide, a uniform digital platform, and standardised reporting methods.
According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, the new computerised inspection method would minimise human error and boost quality assurance and institutional performance evaluation nationwide.
The council expressed confidence that the forthcoming training will be a significant step towards enhancing regulatory control in medical and dental education and declared that modernising the national inspection framework continues to be a high priority.
