The Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners (PCATP) is seeking applications for the position of Registrar on a contract basis at its head office in Islamabad. This contract is extendable every two years based on performance until the age of 60. Job Description

The Registrar will be responsible for managing the operational, administrative, and legal aspects of the PCATP. The role involves ensuring compliance with government and organizational regulations, overseeing professional licensing processes, and coordinating with various stakeholders to promote the goals of the Council.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Council.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with government and private sectors to enhance organizational impact.
  • Supervise the licensing and registration processes for architects and town planners.
  • Coordinate with national and international organizations to advance the objectives of the PCATP.
  • Provide administrative support to Council meetings and decisions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Architecture or Town Planning, with a Bachelor’s degree in the same fields. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in City/Urban & Regional Planning, Social Science, Management, Public Administration, or Law from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 15 years of managerial experience in the Government, Semi-Government, or Private Sector.
  • Higher qualifications and training in administration/management will be preferred.
  • Experience in legal processes and procedures will be an added advantage.
