Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the government will send Pakistani students to receive artificial intelligence training in China and Europe.
The prime minister stressed that students from all over Pakistan, including Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), will be chosen solely on the basis of merit while speaking at a laptop distribution event at the University of Haripur on Wednesday.
At a ceremony at the University of Haripur, the prime minister unveiled the highly anticipated Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme. Attendees included government officials, youth leaders, and several beneficiaries, all of whom expressed gratitude for the program, which has already benefited over a million students nationwide.
The event featured a special documentary that highlighted the Laptop Scheme's achievements since its launch in 2013. It emphasized the bold 2025 goal for the nation's youth as well as the ongoing efforts made under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's direction to guarantee their empowerment via technology and education.
In his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz outlined his long-standing goal of empowering Pakistan's youth, emphasizing the significance of giving them chances based on their potential to become well-known worldwide.
I firmly believe that Pakistan's progress is not dependent on any one province, whether it is the laptops, the 1000 students taught in agriculture, or even the 600 students I sent to China while I was chief minister of Punjab. "It relies on holistic development," he continued.
The prime minister concluded his speech by expressing pride in the country and unity. He exhorted the young people to draw inspiration from Allama Iqbal's teachings, who envisioned a Pakistan where young people would face global problems with courage and dignity.
"We need to embrace the difficulties we face and proceed with solidarity and conviction. Our young people will steer Pakistan to previously unheard-of heights, and they hold the key to its destiny," he declared.
