The Pakistani team made a spectacular debut in the inaugural International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO-2024), which was hosted in the Philippines. They took home two silver and two bronze medals.

Details show that Ehban Awan from Karachi Grammar School and Qasim Salam from Siddeeq Public School Rawalpindi got bronze medals, while Suleman Nouman from Siddeeq Public School, Islamabad, and Subhan Kashif from Lahore Grammar School received silver medals.

Students from all around the nation were chosen by the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), the premier engineering university of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), following extensive examinations and reviews.

Following that, they received training at PIEAS from their mentors, Drs. Muhammad Maqsood of the PAEC Education Directorate and Sajjad Tahir of PIEAS, in order to prepare them for the aforementioned Olympiad.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other international organizations supported INSO-2024, which took place in Clark, Philippines, from August 01–06, 2024.

For representing the nation with such distinction on the international arena, the victorious students, their parents, instructors from their different institutes, and mentors from PIEAS and PAEC are deserving of praise.

It is important to note that in addition to these medals, Pakistani students have recently taken home honors from the International Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics Olympiads, each of which has produced medals for the nation. The most recent achievement in the field of nuclear science is particularly noteworthy.

Special appreciation was given to Mohammad Nur G Casib and Tran Doan Duy Phuc, who scored the highest on the theoretical and experimental exams, respectively. As well as receiving the highest possible score overall, Casib was named the "Nuclear Ambassador."
