Over 58,000 Candidates Preparing to Take MDCAT Exam This Sunday In Punjab

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), which is necessary for admission to all public and private medical institutions in Punjab, will be administered under the direction of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Sunday, September 22.
With all preparations completed, the test will be administered across 26 testing locations spread throughout 12 cities. UHS has put in place stringent security measures in advance of the test.
There will be 58,380 candidates in total who will take the exam: 18,016 men and 40,364 women.
There are now eight testing locations in Lahore: two for male candidates and six for female candidates.
With 3,779 female applicants taking the test, Punjab University Examination Halls on Wahdat Road are the largest center. In addition, there are other centers in Lahore, including Government Girls Graduate College Gulberg, DPS Model Town, University of Education Township, COMSATS University, Lahore College for Women University, DPS Township, and Government Islamia College for Women, Cantt.
Throughout Punjab, more than 4,000 teachers will act as invigilators; 1,000 of them will be stationed in Lahore.

The Departments of Higher Education and School Education have appointed the invigilation staff. UHS executives and senior teachers have been assigned as focus points, and Specialized Healthcare Department officers will oversee the test arrangements.
Moreover, district police officers (DPOs) and city police officers (CPOs) are in charge of security and parking management, according to detailed plans that deputy commissioners from each of the 12 districts have created to supervise MDCAT arrangements.
Candidates have already received their roll number slips from UHS. Every employee and representative participating in the examination has obtained a security clearance from the Special Branch.
Exam sites will open at 8:00 AM, and the test will run from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Since the centers will be closed after 9:00 AM, no candidate will be permitted admission.
There will be 200 multiple-choice questions on the test. For entry into MBBS programs and BDS programs, candidates must receive a minimum MDCAT score of 55% and 50%, respectively.
There will be competition for 5,025 places in private universities and 3,616 seats in public colleges. The centralized admissions process for public and private medical and dentistry universities will be managed by UHS.
