The British Deputy High Commission hosted the Pakistan launch of Learning Resource Network (LRN), another British exam board, on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, Martin Dawson, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Deputy High Commission in Karachi, stated that Pakistan is a valuable partner for the UK and that they wish to share best practices in education with them.
"We want to improve and strengthen Pakistan's education system because the British system is the best in the world," he said, adding that educational institutions in Pakistan can gain from UK programs because they provide opportunities to develop future-ready skills.
"They are a strengthening bridge between education and global connectivity for opening doors and offering opportunities to students," stated Angelica De Paiva, Assessment Manager at LRN. Their goal is to ensure that everyone has access to high-quality education.
Since education is the foundation of societies and the engine of economies, we are committed to granting access to internationally recognized degrees and establishing avenues for success in a globalized world that fosters innovation, empowerment, and progress, she stated.
LRM and Ziauddin University have already signed a memorandum of agreement.
The CEO of Vamos, a UK-based institution that provides online Spanish instruction, Russell Collins, also spoke.
The Learning Resource Network launch is a great success in Pakistan's educational landscape. It will further education networking in Pakistan and create the world's best education networks. IBCC (Inter Boards Cordination Commission) has been taking efforts for the past few years to connect the quality education boards to come to Pakistan. It is also one of their efforts that paid off today.
