Pakistan launches medical trainings for Palestinians

Sunday's event in Islamabad marked the opening of the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Trauma Management Course for Palestinian citizens.

COMSTECH, Fatima Memorial Hospital, and NUR International University collaborated on the project, which aims to improve the emergency healthcare capabilities of Palestinian youth and medical professionals.

Given the continuous humanitarian crises in Gaza, the course was developed in response to the pressing need to improve emergency response protocols and medical expertise among Palestinian healthcare professionals.

The destruction and medical difficulties that Gaza's people have experienced, according to the organizers, have highlighted the significance of prompt and effective life-saving measures, such as trauma care and psychological assistance.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Trauma and Wound Management, Spinal and Limb Immobilization, Basic Life Support (BLS), Psychological Support, and Physical Rehabilitation are all covered in detail in the one-month online course.

With its unique design, it enables Palestinian participants to advance their professional skills and self-assurance while staying in their native country.

Speaking at the event, OIC-COMSTECH Coordinator General Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary characterized the initiative as a strategic investment in health resilience and human capital in Palestine as well as a sign of solidarity.
