The DigiSkills 3.0 initiative, an enhanced edition of its top online learning platform, has received approval from the Ignite-National Technology Fund Board.
The consent was given by IT Secretary Zarar Hashim, who serves as the Board Chairman.
Over the course of three years and six months, this redesigned program seeks to provide three million youth with digital skills.
Digiskills New Courses Launched
The most recent version of DigiSkills, which builds on the success of DigiSkills 2.0, which offered 15 online courses, now offers 25 courses with an emphasis on digital proficiency and freelancing knowledge across the country.
DigiSkills 3.0 has been allocated a budget of roughly Rs. 1.79 billion. UI/UX Design and Web Flow, 3D Modeling, Cloud Computing, Shopify Development & Drop Shipping, Full Stack Development using MERN, Artificial Intelligence with Python, and Mobile Game and App Development are some of the ten recently added courses.
To encourage business growth and creativity, we have also included specialist courses on entrepreneurship and startup strategies.
Since its launch in 2018, the DigiSkills program has empowered more than four million students in 300 Pakistani cities. The Virtual University of Pakistan and Ignite collaborated to create this program, which has greatly benefited the IT sector by producing a workforce knowledgeable about contemporary technology developments and the evolving global freelancing market.
Dedicated to this training program, DigiSkills.pk is Pakistan's largest online learning platform, providing certified courses in partnership with the Virtual University.
The emphasis on female empowerment on DigiSkills.pk is one of its main features. The program has reduced the gender gap in the digital job industry by providing benefits to over 800,000 women since 2018.
More women have been able to investigate options in freelancing and the larger IT sector thanks to the initiative's guarantee of equal access to training.
