The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) of Pakistan and Binance Academy have established a strategic cooperation to introduce blockchain education into the nation's university system.

Through 20 colleges, the program hopes to educate more than 80,000 students and prepare 300 teachers by 2026.

In addition to providing students with useful Web3 skills, the partnership aims to develop a strong pipeline of blockchain talent and support the objectives of the Global University Outreach Program (GUOP), the biggest blockchain education program globally.

Encouraging Pakistan's Future Blockchain Experts

The collaboration will incorporate Solidity programming, Web3 principles, and BNB Chain basics into university programs. In order to be certified to teach blockchain courses on their own, participating educators will need to complete specific training.

Bader Al Kalooti, MEASA Head of Growth and Operations at Binance, stated that equipping individuals with the necessary skills is crucial as blockchain transforms the global financial environment. "Building a skilled workforce prepared to spearhead digital innovation is made possible by this partnership."

In her statement, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of IT and Telecom, praised the initiative.

Our digital transformation is aided by this relationship, which establishes Pakistan as a global hub for qualified blockchain talent. We are preparing our students for leadership in the digital economy through our partnership with Binance and the Blockchain & AI Technology Center.

Enhancing Binance Academy's Current Influence in Pakistan

Since 2022, Binance Academy has provided training to more than 3,000 students from 13 Pakistani universities spread over three provinces. In order to provide nationwide educational access to blockchain and Web3 technologies, this new program builds on previous successes and greatly expands the effort.

After launching in Kazakhstan in 2023, the GUOP has since spread to 20 nations, aiming to reach 1 million students by 2026 at more than 200 colleges in more than 50 countries.

In Pakistan, the Binance Academy-MoITT collaboration marks a significant turning point in the mainstreaming of blockchain education. It aims to raise a generation of innovators prepared to contribute to regional and international tech ecosystems, equip young people with skills that will last into the future, and get the nation ready for the digital economy.
