Project Manager

Job Description

The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role is crucial for monitoring project progress, assisting in financial analyses, preparing status reports, and coordinating communications among team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Project Initiation: Assist in the implementation of the Project Initiation Process (PIP) and help distribute updates to stakeholders.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Support scheduled financial and operational analysis, report project spending, and manage discrepancies in expense reports from ERP systems.
  • Project Status Reporting: Help prepare project status reports, summarizing timelines, budgets, and risks, and ensure timely distribution to stakeholders.
  • Site Visits and Audits: Conduct site visits and audits as directed to monitor project progress and compliance with project requirements.
  • Project Tracking and Updates: Assist with tracking and updating project, budget, and milestone information for clear communication of project updates.
  • Coordination with PSCs: Coordinate with Project Steering Committees (PSC) to support site activities and facilitate inter-departmental coordination.
  • Project Closing Support: Aid the Project Manager in implementing the Project Closing Process (PCP) and communicating project closure to stakeholders.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise junior staff when applicable and support team performance reviews.
  • Recruitment Assistance: Participate in interviews and technical assessments as needed to recruit for the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Administrative Support: Provide oversight for hostel administration and personnel management under the Project Manager’s guidance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience in project coordination or management.
  • A professional Project Management certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and project management software/tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BBA, 4-year program) or Master’s degree in Project Management or an MBA in a related field.
