PhD Health Sciences (Physiology)	MBBS/BDS with one year house job All qualifications must have First Division in the Annual System OR CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the Semester System. Postgraduate Qualification: MPhil/FCPS/ MD Physiology All qualifications must have first division in the annual system OR CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the semester system. All qualifications must have valid registration with the regulatory body.
PhD Microbiology and Molecular Biology	MBBS/BDS with one year house job OR BS (Hons) MLT All qualifications must have a First Division in the Annual System OR CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the Semester System. Postgraduate Qualification: MPhil/FCPS Microbiology All qualifications must have first division in the annual system OR CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the semester system. All qualifications must have valid registration with the regulatory body.
PhD Medical Education	MBBS/BDS with one year house job All qualifications must have First Division in the Annual System OR CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the Semester System Postgraduate Qualification: MHPE, MCPS-HPE or equivalent degree in a relevant field such as Medical Education. All qualifications must have first division in the annual system OR CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the semester system. All qualifications must have valid registration with the regulatory body.
PhD Rehabilitation Sciences	BS (Hons) Rehabilitation Sciences MS/MPhil or equivalent in Rehabilitation Sciences All qualifications must have first division in the annual system OR CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the semester system. All qualifications must have valid registration with the regulatory body.

• Candidates will have to pass the RMU PhD entrance test and interview separately.
• The passing criteria for RMU entrance test is 60%.
• Those candidates who have already passed GAT/HAT Subject with minimum 60% marks or have valid GRE-Subject Test (with minimum 60 percentile score) will be exempted from RMU entrance test, however they will have to qualify in interview.
• Each applicant will submit a statement of purpose with a word limit of approximately 800 to 1000 words (12-point font), which shall form an integral part of the application.
• It should have four sections:
• Title of the potential research proposal.
• Clear articulation of the current understanding of the intended field and ideas for potential research.
• Explanation of the intended impact of the proposed research.
• The prospective candidates shall demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for the area of research.

How to Register

Application Process:

• Submit the online admission form along with the scanned copies of all the required documents and the bank draft for Rs.2000/- (Non-refundable) in favor of the Vice Chancellor, Rawalpindi Medical University, on university's website www.rmur.edu.pk.
• Dispatch the hardcopy of the submitted form along with attested copies of the documents and the bank draft in original through courier at Department of Medical Education, Rawalpindi Medical University, Main Campus, Tipu Road, Rawalpindi.
• Entrance test will be conducted at Rawalpindi Medical University, Main Campus, Tipu Road, Rawalpindi.
• No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
• The employee of governments, semi-government, autonomous bodies and attached departments will be required to produce NOC, issued by the competent authority at the time of interview, otherwise, the applicant will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
