The Ministry of Commerce intends to appoint three (3) Members for the Trade Dispute Resolution Commission (TDRC) to execute functions as outlined in the Trade Dispute Resolution Act (TDRA), 2022. Two (2) members will be appointed from the Private Sector, and one (1) member will be appointed from the Public Sector, including retired government servants or in-service officers, under Section-9(2) of the TDRA, 2022.

Job Description

Members of the Trade Dispute Resolution Commission will carry out the responsibilities and functions as defined under the Trade Dispute Resolution Act, 2022, including handling trade-related disputes effectively and ensuring compliance with related laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide resolution for trade disputes as per the Trade Dispute Resolution Act, 2022.
  2. Oversee the implementation of policies and laws related to trade, commerce, and dispute resolution.
  3. Work collaboratively with public and private sector entities to ensure dispute resolution aligns with international trade standards.

Requirements

Must be a citizen of Pakistan. Should possess a Master’s Degree or 16 years of education from an HEC-accredited university in one of the following fields:

  • International Trade
  • Economics
  • Accountancy
  • Tariff and Trade
  • International Commerce
  • Business Law
  • Commercial Law
  • Any related field

Experience (as per TDRA, 2022):

  • Must have a minimum of 20 years of professional work experience
