Ten thousand free Google Career Certification Scholarships are being offered by Tech Valley Pakistan in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

By equipping people with in-demand digital skills, this project hopes to improve their prospects for employment in the cutthroat labor market of today.

A PITB representative stated that anyone can apply for these scholarships, which are given out by a number of partner organizations, regardless of their educational history or degree level. This all-inclusive strategy guarantees that everyone can benefit from excellent digital education.

There are ten distinct courses in the Google Career Certification program, with a total value of $100 to $500.

In order to improve their job prospects, the initiative's recipients will receive six months of training through Coursera in subjects like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, project management, advanced data analytics, digital marketing and e-commerce, UX design, and IT support.

These courses will be fully free for the chosen candidates to attend. The courses, which are intended to satisfy the increasing demands of the digital economy, cover a wide range of fundamental digital skills and knowledge areas.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said in his remarks on the occasion that the organization will shortlist eligible organizations in the province and help Tech Valley get in contact with them. Furthermore, PITB will advertise scholarships to the province's qualified organizations.

The goal of Google Career Certificates is to equip students for entry-level positions in rapidly expanding industries. In order to give students a practical introduction to AI in the workplace and to help them comprehend how professionals in their chosen industries use it, the curriculum recently incorporated new materials.

Google AI Essentials is a brand-new, self-paced online course that is taught by Google AI specialists and is available for free. This approachable training gives participants the fundamental AI abilities they need to increase productivity in a variety of positions and sectors.

The course addresses real-world uses of AI tools for idea generation, expediting everyday chores, and creating insightful prompts. It also highlights the appropriate usage of AI by instructing students on how to recognize potential biases.

All applicants are eligible for the scholarships, regardless of their degree status.
