Sindh Completes Largest Teacher Recruitment Drive in Pakistan’s History

The Sindh Education Department has completed the largest teacher recruitment exercise in the history of Pakistan, under which offer letters have been issued to more than 93,000 primary school and junior elementary teachers.
This historic development was announced by Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. In his remarks, Sardar Ali Shah congratulated the chosen applicants and expressed his hope that the recently hired educators would carry out their responsibilities with honesty, passion, and dedication.
According to the provincial minister, 65,147 primary school teachers and 27,000 junior elementary school teachers were appointed on the basis of complete merit through third-party testing.
These include 31,075 female teachers, further strengthening the provincial government’s commitment to empowering women. 1,330 special persons and 2,100 minority candidates were also selected as teachers in this recruitment exercise, reflecting a transparent and inclusive system.
The education minister added that 51,129 schools in Sindh now employ the recently hired teachers, and that more than 5,000 shuttered schools have been reopened as a result of these appointments.
Education is a sacred and dignified field, according to Sardar Ali Shah, who also expressed the hope that new teachers will play a significant part in children's education and training while upholding the dignity and honor of this line of work.
On the other hand, In the next quarter, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon plans to implement a number of significant projects to enhance the province's transportation, health, and education systems.
As per his declaration, four new IBA community colleges will be created around the province, and 4,400 additional teachers would be hired. Financial autonomy will also be granted to 34,000 schools, enabling them to run their own operations.
Additionally, the Sindh Education Endowment Fund will award scholarships to thousands of worthy students, guaranteeing sustained funding for higher education.
